  • Overview

    The Scheduling Coordinator (Clinic) is responsible for the creation and management of all scheduling for the Joslin Clinic providers and educators.

    Scheduling would include provider and educator appointments, diabetes education classes, programs and 1:1 visits as well as nursing coverage for Nurse of the Day 1903 and Dietitian of the Day.

     

    Hours are Monday-Friday: 7:30am -4:00pm

    Responsibilities

    • Proficiently create and manage master schedule templates for clinic providers and educators and distribute daily and monthly schedules to the Clinic.
    • Create and manage a master education schedule including space requirements.
    • Work with the Director of Educational Services to enforce all policies regarding scheduling including minimum coverage requirements for high volumes periods of absence (i.e. summer vacation and the holidays).
    • Generate, interpret and communicate information from reports relevant to schedules and utilization. Updates educational services’ metrics weekly.      
    • Serve as a resource for staff scheduling appointments, to facilitate availability and response to patient demand.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience
    • One to Two years of experience working with health care professionals in a clinical health care delivery system
    • Demonstrated competency with complicated scheduling systems
