The Image Acquisition Specialist (IAS) will be trained and certified to perform all functions relative to the acquisition of retinal images using a variety of digital retinal imaging systems.   The IAS will acquire pertinent medical history and retinal images and work with the program coordinator to provide high-level care in a clinical telemedicine program. The purpose of the Clinical Research Coordinator I is to coordinate clinical research activities for the Joslin 50-year Medalist Study, which was established to study protective factors against diabetic complications in individuals with type 1 diabetes.
